AALIYAH made HONOR ROLL & MOMMA IS BACK IN OHIO :)

First of all congratulations to my 9 year old granddaughter Aaliyah for making the honor roll.  Aaliyah bless her heart thought there was another student with her exact first and last name when it was called during the award assembly. Only after being pointed to did she tear up and proceed to stage (Oh how I wish the school informed us of events like this..would  of loved to have been there). Needless to say this was a very significant event for my Le-Le. We are so proud of her.

Friday sister Teresa traveled by plane to Florida to bring momma back here. Teresa went straight from airport to pick   mom up from nursing home she has been in for several weeks. Mom has been either in hospital, rehab center and or nursing home since September  2014. Moms health started to decline again back in April 2014 which has resulted in several other inpatient stays. My sister & uncle Tom that lives in Florida loaded up mom and her belongings at 3am just 12 hours after Teresa arriving and picking mom up, they started the long journey home to Ohio. Only stopping briefly to grab snacks/food to go/drinks and for Teresa to address anything momma needed at time..as mom was unable to sit for more than a few minutes..mom laid and slept most of the way. For now I will make it short. Mom was admitted to MVH here in Dayton,  the doctors    shook their heads at the condition mom was in considering she was in a facility to recieve care she  obviously was n't recieving :(..............God is good today i'm told mom looks better than yesterday..I guess you would look  better after getting much needed fluids from  being severly dehydrated...dr's stated not a sudden onset either. For now I will close in hopes of posting another blog sooner than later.

GEEZ, Started this blog several years ago and just located it......

So glad that I have located my blog I started several years back. Lot's has happened since I wrote my first post. Here are some highlights below. Hopefully my blog will never again get lost in the cyber clouds. I plan on blogging often...maybe daily

1.) Woke up unable to breathe several years ago which resulted in

      being careflighted (ICU ambulance) to trauma center and 

      admitted to ICU eventually entubated and extubated 5 days 

      later...Full recovery "Thank GOD ". 

2.) Me and Larry both graduated from college

3.) Me & Larry got our own place

4.) Have almost lost my momma a few times, she recovered and 

      moved to Florida a couple of years ago but is a gain not doing

      to great and currently is in rehab center in hopes of gaining

      weight & strength....so please,please pray for mom to recover.

5.) Me and Larry became foster parents to momma's elderlt cat 

      "Sophie", Sophie has been quite ill. Have syringe fed her

       meds & food for 2 weeks. Last night my precious Sophie 

       slipped into a coma..sadly she will most likely pass today.

6.) Took on the role of parenting over a year ago for 2 of my 

      grandchildren Aaliyah and Aden.

7.) I've gained more weight than I'd like to disclose ;)

 8.) Dad was hospitalized and had to go to rehab himself

      thankful he is back home and independant again

9.) I have to let you all know I have the best sister in the world.

                                        AND

10.) Today is my princesses birthday. Aaliyah

        turned 9 today. Happy Birthday Baby Girl.

A Little ABOUT ME

Hello, My name is Rhonda L. Graley previously Rhonda L. Applegate. I'm 45 years young, I was blessed in life with three amazing kids all that are parents themselves. Amber my oldest daughter is 30 years old not only is Amber the mother of 3 of my grandkids Destiny, Jayln and Brianna she also works 40+ hours a week working with kids. She is a corrections officer for the Montgomery County Juvenile Detention Center. I then have my son lets just call him "D.O.C" he is 28 years old and blessed me with my newest grandaughter Sady Shebry she will be 1 year old in March. In case your wondering why did I name my son D.O.C the answer is I didn't name him that. D.O.C works a full-time job and is also lead singer/bass player for the musical group Menace II Sobriety based out of Troy, Ohio. In all respect to my son I abide by his wish for me to only call him by his musical nickname name on anything I post on the internet especially when I post on the social networking sites myspace and facebook. Menace has opened up for some real popular bands such as ICP. Then last but not least I have my baby girl Leslie that is almost 27. Leslie blessed me with Aaliyah and Aden. Leslie is a stay at home mom, sure I would love her to be employed but am quite pleased that she is a great mommy. All my kids are terrific parents to all of my grandkids for a total of 6 in all. I'm almost positive that the next grandkids I'm blessed to get will actually be great grandchildren. I was married and divorced at a very young age. I started college late in life graduated in June 2011 with my Associates Degree in Business Management. In December 2011 I started at a local university for my Bachelors Degree. Well friends there is so much more to my story of life. I will be updating often and hope to meet many new friends. Oh I think I better give my boyfriend Larry Whitt some credit in my very 1st blog as he is my everything. Larry has a very special relationship with my grandkids. Larry is so loved not by just me but by my grandkids. ~~<3 Rhonda~~
